trfA (mecA): ClpCP substrate-recognition adaptor protein [1]

TrfA-augmented ClpCP is efficient at proteolyzing ssrA-tagged proteins and antitoxins from Type II toxin-antitoxin systems. TrfA has complex temporal expression and is further modulated by Spx levels.
